Dingdok for Windows ships as a single signed installer. This guide walks through downloading, verifying, and completing setup so your first download is only a few clicks away.
Before you start
- Windows 10 (1809) or later, 64-bit.
- Around 200 MB of free disk space for the app and its cache.
- Administrator rights are only needed for the default per-machine install.
Step 1 — Download the installer
- Open the Download page and select Windows.
- Save
Dingdok-Setup-5.3.0-x64.exeto a folder you can find later. - Prefer no installation? Choose the Portable ZIP or the ARM64 build on the same page.
Step 2 — Verify the file
Compare the SHA-256 hash shown on the download page with the file on disk:
certutil -hashfile Dingdok-Setup-5.3.0-x64.exe SHA256
The two values must match exactly. The "Verify the installer" article covers the full procedure.
Step 3 — Run the installer
- Double-click the installer. If SmartScreen appears, choose More info → Run anyway; the file is signed by Dingdok.
- Accept the license agreement.
- Choose an install location, or keep the default.
- Leave Add desktop shortcut and Start Dingdok enabled, then click Install.
Step 4 — First launch
On first run Dingdok asks where to store downloads. Pick a folder on a drive with enough space; you can change it later under Settings → Downloads. The app opens with an empty queue; sign in with your Dingdok account to start.
Troubleshooting
- Installer blocked by antivirus: confirm the hash first, then allow the file in your antivirus console.
- "This app can't run on your PC": you are on a 32-bit system or an older Windows build.
- No download starts: check that the destination drive is writable and has free space.
