Planningen en intervallen

Stel in hoe vaak abonnementen nieuwe items controleren en wanneer ze uitvoeren.

Schedules decide when subscriptions run. Good settings keep your library current without hammering the source sites or your connection.

Interval versus schedule

  • Interval is how often Dingdok checks, for example every 6 hours.
  • Schedule restricts those checks to a time window, for example 02:00–06:00.

Use an interval on its own for a simple setup, and add a window when you want checks to happen quietly at night.

Configuring a check interval

  1. Open the subscription and click Edit.
  2. Under Check interval, pick a preset (hourly, every 6 hours, daily, weekly) or a custom value.
  3. Save. The next check time is shown on the subscription row.

Adding a time window

  1. Enable Only run within a window.
  2. Set start and end times.
  3. Choose the days of the week the window applies to.

Checks that fall outside the window wait until the next valid slot rather than being skipped permanently.

Migrating on startup

Enable Check on launch if you want overdue subscriptions to run as soon as Dingdok opens. Disable it on a laptop when you would rather not download over a metered connection.

Avoiding rate limits

  • Stagger intervals so many subscriptions do not fire at the same minute.
  • Keep concurrency low for scheduled work.
  • Prefer daily over hourly for large channels.

Retention

Optionally cap how many recent items a subscription keeps, so archives do not grow forever:

  • Keep all — default.
  • Keep newest N — download only the newest items.
  • Keep since date — ignore anything older than a cutoff.

Troubleshooting

  • Subscription never runs: confirm it is not paused and that the window includes the current day.
  • Everything re-downloads: check the duplicates setting; the source may have changed item IDs.
  • Checks fail with 429: increase the interval and lower concurrency.
